Total hardness test (color change method)
The test kit consists of a measuring tube with lid and a drop bottle with indicator solution.
The test tube is rinsed with the water to be tested and then filled up to the 10ml mark. Now dropwise indicator solution is added until the color changes. The number of drops consumed corresponds to the water hardness in °dH (total hardness). The indicator solution is sufficient for about 100 tests.
